When the Channel Tunnel project was completed in 1997, and High Speed 1 opened in 2007, hopes were high for a more integrated European rail network to fight against the rise of pollutant budget airlines. However, there is still much work ahead for the European Union to truly integrate railway services together.
On the first open evening in Palmer's for this academic year, we hosted a mock election where parents and prospective students could vote for their preferred party. In this article, European Parliament Junior Ambassador Luke Devlin will make an analysis of the votes and compare them to the current opinion polls.
At last night's (16th October 2025) open evening for USP College Palmer's Campus, EPAS at USP College showcased a brand new plaque dedicated to USP (Unified Seevic Palmer's) College's founder William Palmer, who founded it as a charity school for the poor children of Grays in Thurrock, Essex, in 1706.
Some of our newly recruited European Parliament Junior Ambassadors from USP College visited Europe House in Westminster, London on October 3rd to participate in a workshop hosted by EPAS UK coordinator Asher Jacobsberg. The educational session focused on the history and institutions of the EU, the role and function of the European Parliament, and debating contemporary issues and priorities in the UK and the EU.
